Road Safety in Scoil Mhuire

The RSA came to visit our school in December.

We learned the rules of the road.

We had a go practicing what we learnt on the pretend road in the hall. We had so much fun!

We got safety licences for being so good. This mean we are the bosses of safety when we go home. Watch out everyone... we see everything!

When we got back to the classroom we wrote out the rules we learned.

When walking we wear a safety vest.

When cycling we wear a safety vest and a helmet.

When in the car we wear our safety belts and sit on a booster seat.

Christmas time in Scoil Mhuire

In December we were getting ready for Christmas.

We made lovely Christmas cards for the ones we love.

We made winter trees using black paper stuck onto our wonderfully painted backgrounds.

We made clay snowmen and painted them.

We held a Carol Service in the school. We watched the fantastic Junior Infants put on a nativity show. We also met Santa Claus at assembly.

When we came back to school some of us brought in a toy we got at Christmas and talked about it.

Food Fun

In November we learnt about food.

We drew fruit bowls using pencils and oil pastels.

We spent a lot of time getting our still lives just right.

We printed with fruit and then cut out our prints.

In groups we decorated huge fruit bowls. We coloured them with crayon.
